When You Feel Like You Can't Because of mental illness. I can’t.
Well, I can’t right now.
One day in the future I can; as long as you’re willing to bend and stretch your definition of what “can” is. It’s not that I don’t want to. I can’t overcome it by positive thinking. I can’t “just do it.” I’m not lazy. I’m not making up excuses. I’m not weak.
I can’t because I’m the brain that’s swallowed by panic and fear.
I can’t because I’m the brain that’s overstimulated and overw
We need to treat borderline personality disorder for what it really is – a response to trauma. People with borderline personality disorder are often treated as if they have a personality flaw, rather than mental health issues stemming from trauma. These mental health researchers say it’s time we change the disorder’s name. Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a highly stigmatised and misunderstood condition. Australians with BPD face considerable barriers to accessing hig

I'm a bad water colourist but hey, I'll have a bash at anything. And so I did. A celebration of the wonderful bluebells in my garden and in my hedge, actually inside my hedge, in the shade. Bizzare but beautiful. I can't stop looking at them! I'll improve at this WC game soon enough. I'm knocking out lots of bad stuff as I practice. The good stuff is begining to appear. Kind of. Ish. As I strive to give alcohol up entirely to assist my weight loss, because of fucking psych me
This article by Jody hits the nail right on the head:
Everyone has a fear of something. It could be a physical thing like spiders. It could be a fear with no known reason, like a fear of heights. I have a friend who is terrified of elevators and another whose worst fear is not being able to protect her child. These fears range from something that perhaps could be confronted with a lot of bravery and courage, to phobias so intense they literally control your life.
I've been busy with Parks In Mind in and around Bournemouth. Lots of gardening, tidying up the parks, photography and chat. Glad I got involved. Helps clear my noisy head and it's so beautiful this time of the year. A bit of community spirit too. Cheers right up. Lovin' it. #parksinmind #bpdgardening #bpdfun #bpdbournemouth #idiotthewise
5 Candid Confessions About Borderline Personality Disorder
I won’t boil your bunny, but I will text you 13 times to ask if you’re mad at me for no good reason at all.
Note: I refer to sufferers of BPD as “borderlines” in this article. Though this isn’t the ideal terminology, it’s a form of shorthand that I believe makes the piece more readable.
I also talk about borderlines using feminine pronouns for the sake of consistency and because they are self-referential. It shoul

Why was I hurting myself like I was? People with Borderline Personality Disorder sometimes engage in acts of self harm. I was. These acts of self harm are wide ranging; they’re also dramatic and startling in many cases. Horrible to witness too of course. I owe appologies. These behaviors include:
Blunt force trauma: This type of self harm includes banging one’s head on a hard surface, punching oneself, and using a hammer or other tool to inflict damage and pain to the body.
Private land and abandoned hospital. Many more of these to work through yet on my hard drive to come soon. Copyright Mark Cummins 2019 If you use my images, credit this site please. Manners ;) #markcumminsartist #idiotthewise #boscombe

Dissociation from oneself has long-term implications for who we become.
Developmental trauma is more common than many of us realize.
